Anthony Smith

Globe-trotting Artist, Zoologist & Lecturer

‘Anthony is one of the most engaging lecturers we have had the pleasure to spend time with. As well as being a highly talented bronze sculptor, Anthony has the ability to make his lectures fun, insightful and personal as well as imparting a great deal of knowledge. I highly recommend him as both a presenter and a dinner companion!’

Caroline & Michael Foulger, Seabourn Ovation Guests

As a globe-trotting sculptor, zoologist and lecturer, Anthony has made three expeditions to the Geographical North Pole, traveled to Antarctica twenty times, and visited 111 countries all around the world. These adventures provide him with the inspiration for his bronze sculptures.

He is a very experienced and enthusiastic public speaker, and since 2014 he has been presenting lectures for luxury cruise lines including Silversea, Seabourn and Ponant. He has presented aboard 67 cruises visiting all seven continents. There is nothing that he enjoys more than sharing his passion for travel and adventure with others, and introducing people to new, fascinating topics.

Anthony’s presenting career began in 2009 when he worked as a television presenter for a documentary series about the life and travels of Charles Darwin. This series involved an eight-month adventure, resailing the Voyage of HMS Beagle around the world on board a beautiful, three masted tallship, during which Anthony featured as one of the presenters. Anthony has been presenting and lecturing ever since, shedding light on fascinating subjects in entertaining and eye-opening ways.

“Creating engaging and memorable presentations is my passion – I’m constantly hunting down those surprising facts and fascinating stories that make a lecture come to life!”
